An interactive performance rooted in the imaginative world of a post-apocalyptic fairy tale, where only a few precious beings survived an unknown catastrophe and need to work together now on this collective quest.
In a separated space, called “the playground”, each round a small group of participants enter the space. Within “the playground” is a library of objects for the participants to engage with, containing stylized everyday objects, as well as queer objects. Each person gets a pair of headphones and a portable mp3 player and on these players are one out of eight single tracks, each about 25 minutes long guiding the participants through a collective experience. Throughout this experience the participants will be moving objects, engaging with each other, guided by the instructions on their headphones.
The essence of this project is to shift perspectives, connect to nature, encourage a slowing-down and a warm-hearted view of oneself, one’s surroundings, and other participants, and to celebrate and highlight queer identity.
